Playmakers at all three levels of the defense headline this week's performers, including a CB#1 candidate from Texas.
Kris Boyd, CB, Texas
Boyd has always looked the part and thus far this year is unquestionably playing the part of a top end CB prospect. Prototype size and athleticism, Boyd's showing few weaknesses and could be a high riser come April.
Sione Takitaki, LB, BYU
The Cougars dismantled the heralded Badger offense and DE convert Takitaki was all over the ball amassing 13 tackles, 2 TFL and a sack. He's transitioned to playing in space like he was made for it and is one to watch for.
Dre'Mont Jones, DT, Ohio St
Jones and Bosa are cleaning up so far this year but Jones stepped up with Bosa injured and made turning point plays vs TCU week 3. Built like a DE, Jones has the size and strength to play anywhere along the line.
Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa St
Butler's a size, speed freak that went off vs Oklahoma and almost pulled out a victory for the Cyclones. He racked up 174yds on just 5 catches and had 2TDs. Mostly a linear threat so far but you can't coach up his tools.
