"Top shelf size and wing span with regular acrobatic catches. Only drawback is a lack of explosiveness."
Strengths
Top shelf size and wing span. Good hands and has the body control to make acrobatic and difficult catches. Generally wins in jump ball situations.
Quick feet for a large WR. Tough to jam with his size, quick feet and quick hands. Has clutch genes and steps up in big games. Big personality but sans the typical diva.
Weaknesses
Doesn't have great speed and isn't explosive in and out of his cuts or after the catch.
Overall
It's easy to root for Williams after a freak injury nearly wrecked his football career. He comes off a big junior season where he looked like the best WR prospect in the nation.
I think Williams has been the #1 WR prospect all season. He's not especially explosive but he makes up for it with great hands, wiggle, size and clutch play. He’s got some Larry Fitzgerald in his play and is a safe bet to be a consistent playmaker. But I'd say he projects more as a #2 WR in the NFL with #1 upside.
